Well, here we are...one year ago this week we were making final preparations for our very first 'public worship' at Faith Venture Church. What a year it has been. One of definite ups and some downs as well. All in all, a very satisfying, and gratifying experience at the one year mark. I should add humbling into that sentence as well. For all of the things that I thought I knew, I found out seven that I didn't! We've learned to trust God, to love people more deeply, and to walk by faith and not by human sight.

So, at the one year anniversary, what might the next 365 days hold for us? I'm not sure. I believe with all of my heart that God has big plans for our church--it's just determining how to catch up with Him and dream HIS dream, as opposed to ours. When I dream my dream, things get disconnected, and attitudes flare up, and tons of things get lost in the cracks. When I dream God's dream, He promises to take care of the stuff that I'm not capable of, and gives me strength and wisdom to deal with the ones that I can.

I'm so proud to be the pastor of FVC...we're just getting started!
